Online Webinar on Advance HE fellowships

On the 17th of May, we had our online webinar and dissemination on the importance of HE fellowships and their different levels (Associate, Fellow, Senior, and Principal). More than 125 participants mainly from the different academic departments in AASTMT attended the webinar and learned about the different statuses of HEA fellowships. There were also participants from GLEA and UK guest speakers. Participants were academics with a variety of academic ranks and positions at different higher education institutions including Alexandria University, Cairo University, Egyptian University of Informatics, American University in Cairo, Research Institute, Pharos University from the different academic departments and domains. Fields include but are not limited to Medicine, Physical Education, Business Administration, Fisheries, Fine Arts, Marine, Pharmaceuticals, Computer Science, Fisheries, Logistics, Linguistics, Kindergarten, attended the webinar and learned from UK participants about the different statuses of HEA fellowships. The webinar lasted for more than 5 hours, and five speakers from UK shared their different experiences in the HEA fellowships and answered relevant questions raised by participants . Our Egyptian team followed the webinar with dissemination and communication activities during June 2023. These included several discussion sessions through informal meetings and feedback correspondence with academic staff. Many follow up phone calls, together with the WhatsApp text and voice note messages were received after the webinar thanking, asking, and commenting on the positive impact on the webinar. This revealed the curiosity, excitement, enthusiasm and appreciation from participants.
